Pharmacodynamics of Xylazine, Acepromazine and Diazepam on Various Physiological Parameter in Rabbits

The aim of the present study was to explore effect three selective sedative/tranquilizer drugs i.e. Xylazine(XZ), Acepromazine(AC), and Diazepam(DZ) on normal physiological parameters such aspulse, respiration, body temperature serum glucose.All Xylazine, Acepromazine, Diazepam were used at dose rate 8mg/kg, 5 mg/kgand diazepam1mg/kg respectivelythrough intramuscular route(I.M.)in six healthy rabbits non-descriptive Before administration all recordedPulse, respiration shows significant (0.05) decrease after these drugs. Maximum in pulse recorded 60, 30 45 minutes returned its 150, 135 with XZ, AC DZ Low respiratory noted 45, 75 non-significant level 105, 90 Body decreased maximum 60 120, 120 Onset sedation started 83±0.30, 6.16±0.47 3.83±0.30 Significant difference found XZ AC, 0.05 but there no between Total duration 101.17±1.07, 00±1.87 90.00±1.29 respectively.XZ significantly (P< 0.05) increase glucose while have From overall finding safe for best results.
